Prevention work

Hi, my name is Jacqui McIntosh and I'm the Prevention Worker at Dundee Women's Aid.

As a Prevention Worker, my main aim is to work with children and young people. Through interactive workshops we explore the choices and behaviours that build a healthy relationship, helping children understand what domestic abuse is and how it may affect them.

Another part of my role is raising awareness through training sessions amongst professionals or those working with children and families such as school staff, social work and other agencies.

I also work within the community to raise awareness of domestic abuse. Drop-in sessions and attending community groups are just a few ways this is done.

All training I provide is free and further details of the different formats of workshops and programmes can be found by clicking on the headings below.

If you are interested in any sessions being delivered to your workplace, organisation or group or if you would just like more information about my role, please contact me by email or phone: JMcIntosh@dundeewomensaid.co.uk or (01382) 220803.
